Carnival: Big Sound Systems

The Carnival starts tomorrow with parties all over Brixton and South London, continuing on to Sunday & Monday to where it all started: Notting Hill. Expect big sound systems from amateur (or not) builders to established artists, parties and stages such as Channel One Sound System, who came under threat in 2014 for "excessive volume" and almost did not get granted a license for their annual Carnival party. But it seems they are here to stay, which is obviously great news. 

Actually, Carnival starts early in Peckham with AM Trips' gig at the iconic record store Rye Wax. They have invited Junki Inoue.

East London party Ǝntity will be bringing their own set of sounds to Ladbroke Grove on Sunday & Monday. There will be a live video stream via www.hoxton.fm.
